Coronavirus lockdown: Maker’s House Chapel sanitizes and feeds the needy

The Maker’s Chapel International under the auspices of its humanitarian donation is offering to help the needy persons in some of the cities that have been locked down as a result of the increasing cases of the deadly coronavirus.

Managers of the church led by Dr. Michael Boadi Nyamekye is offering to cushion these individuals by giving them cooked food among other things as the country experiences a lockdown in two of its most populous regions.

According to fliers of the humanitarian gesture, all persons in need to do is call a given number and food and other items shall be delivered to them

“Kindly call 0208159507 If you are in need of food items for yourself and your household. Give us your location & food items will be delivered to you”, it revealed.

Within the period, the humanitarian service shall be delivering cooked packaged food, bottled water, antibacterial hand wash and hand sanitizers.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Friday night (March 28, 2020) imposed further restrictions to curb the spread of the disease in the country this time with the security agencies at hand to enforce the directive to the latter.

He announced a lockdown in Accra and Kumasi as part of the latest measures.

He said: "During this period, no intercity movement of vehicles and aircraft for private or commercial purposes for the areas affected by the restrictive measures except for vehicles and aircraft providing essential services and those carrying cargo. Riders of motorbikes are not allowed to carry any additional person and all intracity passenger vehicles such as trotros and taxis must reduce the number of passengers in order to observe appropriate social distancing and hygiene protocols. Additionally, all commercial vehicle stations shall observe appropriate hygiene protocols and social distancing”.
