The Police on Tuesday arrested four Nigerians at East-Legon in Accra for allegedly subjecting their domestic help to severe beatings.
The victim is said to have sustained bruises in his face and other parts of the body.
The four suspects are said to have accused the victim of stealing GH¢5,000, which belonged to their mother.
According to the police, a neighbour heard the cry of the victim during the incident and moved to the house to inquire what was happening.
The neighbour was said to have been refused entry to the house by the suspects so he sought help from other members of the community and succeeded in rescuing the victim.
Inspector Kwabena Danso of the Greater Accra Police Public Affairs Unit told Accra based radio station Joy FM that the police moved in after receiving a distress call.
He said the patrol team arrested the four suspects on arrival and have since detained them in custody pending further investigations.
