The Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Kumasi, the Most Reverend Gabriel Anokye, has called on government to keep to its promise to return Mission schools to the religious bodies.

This is because the running of such schools has become very critical in the wake of fast moral degeneration in society.

Speaking at a forum at Mfensi near Kumasi, Most Reverend Anokye condemned the alleged sexual molestation of a young girl by suspected gang of teenagers at Bantama in Kumasi recently.

The video of the crime has since gone viral on social media drawing public condemnation and calls for the suspects to face justice.

Most Reverend Anokye explained that schools run and managed by religious bodies will place greater premium on the inculcation of not only religious values in the students, but also imbibe in them social morality and ethics.

The Chief of Amakom, Nana Adu Mensah Asare who is also a professional teacher, condemned the alleged sexual molestation.

He blamed the issue and other emerging immoral acts in society on improper upbringing of children.
